Science-based courses designed for preparing students to lead careers as Registered Dietitian Nutritionists
The University of New England demonstrated its leadership in education by submitting an application to join an exclusive group of programs to be accredited by ACEND® under the new 'Future Education Model' standards for graduate programs. Our eligibility application was accepted by ACEND® awarding UNE candidacy approval.
To qualify for admission to a future RDN focus area, students must complete 3 of the prerequisite courses, offered at UNE. Or provide a verification statement indicating completion of a U.S. Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD).
Our 8-week course structure provides students the opportunity to complete each clinical course at a pace suited to their schedule.
UNE is proud to be the only master’s level RDN program in the Future Education Graduate Model that requires 3 nutrition-based prerequisites courses, rather than the traditional nine. Or a DPD verification statement to enroll in the RDN focus area. Prerequisite courses include:
"UNE is thrilled to offer clinical graduate courses in nutrition to advance the field forward. While preparing professionals to earn their RDN credential and lead the industry using proven nutrition principles, backed by science.”
