The University of New England partners with the Board for Certification of Nutrition Specialists® (BCNS®) to ensure curriculum standards that prepare the next generation of nutrition professionals to lead their communities as trusted health sources. And helps qualify students to earn the advanced CNS® credential. 

The University of New England’s Master of Science in Applied Nutrition program fulfills all of the current academic requirements for the CNS. BCNS requires a graduate degree in the field of nutrition from a regionally accredited university, specific coursework, and 1,000 hours of supervised experience.
